April May Clampett
& The Fashion Cop

Hi! Thank you for visiting our website.

Our names are Barry and Charlie, and we decided to build our own website to keep in closer touch with our family and friends.

The photos on our Photo Pages represent selected moments from throughout our 22 year (so far) relationship.

We decided to put April May Clampett & The Fashion Cop on our front page to set the stage for the pages that follow. We want you to have FUN while you are visiting our site.

The First "Duke of Fantasy Fest"
Key West, 1999

Most of you who visit this site are already familiar with Key Wests' Fantasy Fest and have memorabilia from our campaign, in 1999, to raise money for Aids Help, Inc.

For those of you who aren't familiar with this celebration, it is our version of New Orleans' Mardi Gras.

Charlie was part of a team that raised more than 150,000 dollars for Aids Help, Inc. a local charity that provides for the basic needs of many people living with AIDS in Key West.

Congratulations to King John Mumford, and Queen Martha Robinson, who along with the First Duke of Fantasy Fest, Charlie Burwell and Duchesses Leah Fox and Jennifer Johnson made up the team that raised SO MUCH, much needed money.

"Miss Corn Queen", 1999
& The No Name Players

One of the benefit events that were hosted for Aids Help, Inc. during our campaign was the "Corn Queen Pageant".

This event was created by Jonathan and Milla, and hosted by Atlantic Shores Resort, to benefit all the candidates running for King and Queen of Fantasy Fest.

The object of the pageant was to be as "corny", and of course, as entertaining, as possible. You will find a photo of him in the corniest "evening wear" that you have ever seen!

Believe It or Not, Charlie won!

Toothless, barefoot & PREGNANT, nonetheless!!!
At least at the beginning of the pageant.
He gave birth to a baby boy (balloon) after performing the number "I'm just a girl who can't say no" from the musical "Oklahoma". It was a HOOT!

Charlie is also a member of a local performing troupe called the "No Name Players". The group began with a few friends who got together and put on a show at a local bar.

They have become a shining example of the good that can be done by just one person helping just one other person.

The have hosted benefit shows for our
MCC Church, Friends of Animals, PAWS,
(Pets Are Wonderful Support) and The American Heart Association to mention a few.

Since their beginning, they have improved and increased their ranks. Their numbers now include Dukes, Duchesses and QUEENS GALORE!!!

Honarary "No Name Players" include among others, local club owners Donnie and his lovely wife Sonya, Jimmy Weekley, Mayor of Key West, with his lovely wife Susan, AND...BARRY

You will find a special Photo Page for the group where we will publish the most recent and perhaps bizarre photographs that you may have ever seen.

Not for the faint of heart, but always in good (?) taste with no nudity or vulgarity.

You will also be able to keep abreast of future events and local happenings on our "What's New" Page.
